Job summary

PeopleSearch is seeking an experienced systems engineering leader to drive delivery of large-scale, software-intensive systems across the full lifecycle in a demanding, multi-disciplinary environment.

You will mentor and grow engineering teams, align architecture with business goals, manage risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes while promoting best practices in DevOps, V&V, and configuration management.

Qualifications

10+ years of systems engineering, integration engineering, or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of direct people management (leading, mentoring, and growing teams).
Experience in safety-critical environments across Aerospace, Defense, Transportation, etc.
Proficient in Linux/Windows, distributed systems, and modern software delivery practices.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
Provide technical and people leadership across the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, development, integration, verification, validation, deployment, and support.
Drive project execution, resource planning, prioritization, risk management, and delivery of complex, software-intensive systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business, operational, and customer requirements.
Establish and promote systems engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage team performance, career development, coaching, and succession planning.
Ensure effective management of risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
