Job summary

ResMed's Supplier Engineering (NPI) team in Singapore seeks a Senior Supplier Engineer to provide technical leadership in supplier selection, industrialization, and manufacturing readiness across global NPI programs. Based at the Galaxis office on a hybrid setup, you will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to enable scalable, high-quality production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
8+ years of engineering experience in supplier/manufacturing/quality or NPI.
Proven experience in new product launch and supplier management.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and DFM principles.
Ability to interpret drawings, apply metrology, and use data-driven problem-solving methods.
Strong problem-solving, project and stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams.
Proven ability to mentor and build capability in others through technical leadership.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced product development environment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership in supplier selection, development, supplier industrialization, manufacturing process development, tooling qualification, and process validation throughout the product development lifecycle.
Lead supplier industrialization, manufacturing qualification, process validation, and production readiness activities to ensure successful commercialization and scalable, robust, and cost-effective manufacturing.
Lead technical reviews of supplier manufacturing solutions, including tooling, automation equipment, assembly fixtures, and production systems.
Challenge and influence engineering decisions related to tooling design, manufacturing processes, automation strategies, inspection methods, process controls, and production scalability.
Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and technical assessments to improve manufacturability, quality, delivery, cost, and long-term supply continuity.
Identify, assess, and mitigate manufacturing, tooling, quality, capacity, and supply chain risks throughout product development, industrialization, and commercialization.
Assess supplier technical capabilities, manufacturing maturity, operational readiness, and production capacity to support supplier selection, qualification, and development decisions.
Drive supplier capability development through technical coaching, process optimization, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, quality engineering, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to align on manufacturing readiness, supplier strategies, risk mitigation plans, and successful execution of NPI programs.
Lead resolution of complex technical, manufacturing, supplier, and quality issues while balancing quality, delivery, commercialization, and business objectives.
Mentor and develop Supplier Engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier engineering capabilities, processes, tools and best practices.
