Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to independently lead technical engagements, owning discovery, design, and platform demos. You will build hands‑on solutions and own frontline customer relationships with the Account Executive to drive Databricks adoption.

You will design data workloads, deliver compelling proofs‑of‑concepts, and help expand platform usage across data engineering, analytics, and ML. Strong Mandarin collaboration is required for Greater China Region.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data engineering, solutions architecture, pre‑sales, or hands‑on consulting.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with production‑quality code; live coding interview stage.
• Experience designing data solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Spark/Delta Lake and related big‑data tech.
• Strong customer conversations and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering or related field.
• Mandarin business proficiency for Greater China Region collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for customer workloads.
• Build proofs‑of‑concept and live demos to win technical engagements.
• Own frontline technical relationships with customer engineers and data teams.
• Develop account‑level technical strategies with the Account Executive.
• Articulate Databricks differentiation through hands‑on demonstrations.
• Contribute reusable assets and reference architectures for the SA community.
