Job summary

National Heritage Board is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to serve as the principal staff officer and SME for safety within the unit, supporting leadership in fostering a strong safety culture. You will plan, implement and enforce the unit's Safety Management System to ensure training readiness and high safety standards in SAF.

Qualifications

• Education in Safety Management or Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
• Experience in safety management, risk management or workplace safety governance advantageous.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication to engage personnel at all levels.
• Detail-oriented with keen observation to identify risks and improvements.
• Ability to support field activities and conduct ground inspections in training environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal safety advisor to Unit Commanding Officer and manage the Unit Safety Workplan.
• Govern and maintain the unit's Safety Management System with SOPs and audits.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and oversight of high-risk training and operations.
• Lead safety incident reporting, investigations and trend analysis to mitigate risks.
• Develop and deliver safety education programs, workshops and awareness initiatives.
