Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a principal staff officer and SME for safety to support the Commanding Officer in fostering a strong safety culture. You will plan, implement and enforce the unit's Safety Management System to ensure training readiness and high safety standards across SAF.

You will lead safety inspections, audits, incident investigations and risk management, while developing safety education programmes and promoting hazard reporting to sustain a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in safety governance, risk management and training safety is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal safety advisor to the Unit Commanding Officer.
• Govern and maintain the Safety Management System, SOPs and safety policies.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits and ground engagements in training environments.
• Lead safety incident reporting, investigations and trend analysis.
