Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking a Safety and Occupational Health lead for the Artillery formation. You will oversee safety management, advise on risks and performance, drive governance and assurance, and manage reporting and investigations to foster a strong safety culture across the formation.

You will serve as SME on safety, advise senior staff on policies and risk trends, support the Safety Committee, and drive culture through leadership of subordinate units.

Qualifications

• Experience in training governance or safety-related appointments.
• Strong competency in risk identification, assessment, mitigation and balanced judgement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Formation's Safety and Occupational Health SME.
• Advise on safety policies, risk trends and systemic vulnerabilities.
• Support Safety Committee and Safety & Health Conference with papers and reviews.
• Drive safety culture and leadership across subordinate units.
• Oversee safety systems, risk management and compliance with Army Safety Regulations.
• Develop and implement Safety SOPs and MSHPs.
• Coordinate safety assurance for formations and exercises.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits.
