Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of corporate banking experience with leadership and relationship management.
• Deep knowledge of capital markets, corporate banking products, and credit analysis.
• Experience managing Japanese multinational clients and strong network in Japanese corporate/financial community.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and business writing skills across stakeholders.
• Business-level English and Japanese required due to regular interaction with Japanese clients and Head Office in Japan.
• Experience in Japanese banking environment and understanding of Japanese business culture is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team responsible for relationship management of Japanese multinational corporate clients, ensuring high service standards and sustainable growth.
• Develop and execute strategies to deepen relationships and acquire new business opportunities to maximize profitability.
• Oversee analysis of credit risk, preparation of credit proposals, documentation, and setup of credit facilities.
• Drive execution of complex transactions with product specialists, risk, and operations teams.
• Act as primary liaison with overseas branches, Head Office, and relevant departments to deliver integrated global solutions.
• Lead client acquisition and marketing initiatives using a consultative approach.
• Provide strategic oversight of portfolio planning, account management, and sector P&L.
• Check and approve supplementary information sheets attached to credit applications.
• Supervise completion of operational and compliance tasks including KYC/CDD screening and waivers.
• Mentor and develop junior team members in a collaborative environment.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and opportunities in the Japanese corporate sector.
