Job summary

POKKA PTE LTD in Singapore seeks an experienced Food Scientist to drive new product development and cost-optimisation through recipe modifications and supplier collaboration. The role focuses on formulating recipes, validating products, and managing documentation for market launches.

You will lead R&D projects, integrate market insights with technical know-how, and support junior staff while ensuring compliance with quality systems and food regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science & Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in development of new products.
• Experience in product formulation, factory processing & production, food regulation, raw materials sourcing.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development (NPD): manage R&D projects to meet deadlines.
• Formulate recipes and verify new products before market launch.
• Communicate with suppliers on materials and technical information.
• Prepare necessary documents for new products.
• Conduct test trial production.
• Modify products for cost down and recipe rationalisation.
• Develop innovative product concepts based on market insights.
• Provide technical support and train junior staff.
• Ensure system documentation and ISO/BRC quality compliance.
