Job summary

Takasago International Corporation, a global leader in flavours and fragrances, is seeking a Beverage Application Scientist in Singapore. You will develop prototypes, lead application projects across beverages, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative taste solutions.

You will handle lab processes, ensure product safety through heat treatments, conduct shelf-life tests, evaluate flavors sensory-wise, and communicate effectively with customers.

Qualifications

• Basic sensory skills and knowledge of flavour-related products.
• Fundamental chemistry and laboratory procedures.
• Experience in flavour application for sweet products is preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and formulate beverage prototypes based on projects and standards.
• Lead beverage application projects across coffee, tea, dairy, plant-based, carbonated drinks, juices, energy drinks, flavored water and alcoholic beverages.
• Operate lab processing equipment such as UHT, aseptic filler, homogenizer, carbonator, hot water bath, autoclave and high shear mixer.
• Ensure product safety by applying appropriate heat treatment for different beverage categories.
• Select and evaluate flavor solutions meeting application requirements.
• Conduct shelf life testing and sensory evaluation of beverages.
• Manage raw materials and laboratory supplies and maintain housekeeping.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and maintain clear communications with clients.
