Atlaz is seeking an experienced Contract Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial and contracts team in Singapore. The role offers ownership of project commercial matters, including cost control, variations, claims, and final accounts, across M&E and building-services projects.
You will review contracts, manage subcontractor relationships, and provide commercial guidance to project management teams, with emphasis on risk mitigation and accurate reporting.
Our client, an established M&E engineering contractor, is looking for an experienced Contract Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial and contracts team.
This opportunity is suitable for both experienced Contract Managers and strong Senior Quantity Surveyors who are ready to take greater ownership of project commercial matters and progress into a Contract Manager role.
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, managing project costs, contractual matters, variations, claims, subcontractors and final accounts while working closely with project teams, clients and consultants.
Manage contractual and commercial matters for M&E and building-services projects.
Handle project cost control, budgeting, cash flow and commercial reporting.
Prepare, evaluate and manage variation orders, claims and final accounts.
Review contracts, subcontract agreements, quotations and commercial terms.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations and support procurement and tender activities.
Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks or cost overruns.
Work closely with Project Managers and site teams on cost and contractual matters.
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial issues.
Support negotiation and settlement of claims, variations and final accounts.
Maintain proper contractual records and project documentation.
Provide commercial advice and support to project management and senior management.
Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Around 5 years or more of relevant Quantity Surveying / Contract Management experience within the Singapore construction industry.
Candidates from M&E, ACMV, Electrical, Building Services or Main Contractor environments are encouraged to apply.
Good experience handling cost control, variation orders, claims and final accounts.
Familiar with subcontractor procurement, quotation evaluation and commercial negotiations.
Knowledge of common Singapore construction contract forms such as SIA and PSSCOC will be advantageous.
Strong commercial awareness with good negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project and site teams.
