BANEN ASSOCIATES PTE. LTD. is partnering with a leading Japanese A1 Main Contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor (M&E) for large-scale industrial and commercial building projects in Singapore.

You will manage the commercial and contractual aspects of M&E works across multiple packages. The role requires a degree or diploma in QS and strong cost control, contract administration and stakeholder management. Main Contractor experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong QS experience in construction.
• Experience managing M&E / Building Services commercial packages.
• Main Contractor experience is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of complex building projects (industrial, data centre, etc.) is beneficial.
• Strong contract administration, cost control and final accounts knowledge.
• Excellent negotiation and communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual matters for M&E / Building Services.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender evaluations and subcontract documentation.
• Administer subcontracts, variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims, variations and payments.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and overall commercial performance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams and M&E subcontractors.
• Support procurement, negotiation and award of M&E subcontract packages.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are partnering with a leading Japanese A1 Main Contractor delivering major Industrial and Commercial building projects in Singapore. We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (M&E) to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of Mechanical & Electrical works across large-scale construction projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage commercial and contractual matters for M&E / Building Services packages.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, tender evaluations and subcontract documentation.
• Administer subcontracts, variation orders, progress claims and final accounts.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims, variations and payment applications.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and overall commercial performance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams and M&E subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Support procurement, negotiation and award of M&E subcontract packages.

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Experience managing M&E / Building Services commercial packages.
• Main Contractor experience will be highly advantageous.
• Experience on Industrial, Commercial, Data Centre, Semiconductor or other complex building projects will be advantageous but is not essential.
• Good knowledge of contract administration, cost control, variations, subcontract management and final accounts.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
