Job summary

GRC Construction Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a results-driven professional to lead project planning, risk management and contract administration for complex construction programs.

You will source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, oversee variation orders, monitor budgets and ensure compliance across all contractual records, with a focus on protecting the company’s interests. This role requires degree in engineering or QS and at least five years of relevant experience;

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years’ relevant contract and construction experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall planning and strategy for projects.
• Source, negotiate and coordinate with vendors, subs and manufacturers.
• Evaluate subcontractor strength and resources.
• Attend project kick-off, site and client-consultant meetings.
• Monitor variation orders and ensure proper recording and claims.
• Verify cost and manage budgets, claims and expenses.
• Ensure compliance of contracts with clients and vendors.
• Prepare budgets, cash flow, tender docs and final accounts.
• Ensure timely progress claims, certifications and invoices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB SCOPE

• Responsible for the overall planning and strategy, as well as project risk management.




• Source, negotiate and coordinate between vendors, sub-contractors and manufacturers.




• Evaluate the strength and resources of each sub-contractor or vendor.




• Attend project kick off meetings, site meetings & client-consultant meetings.




• To monitor all variation order are recorded and claimed.




• Responsible to verify, cost-control of all sub-contractors or vendors. Inclusive project claims and expenses within the budget.




• Monitor all contractual record with clients, sub-contractors and vendors are compliant as to protect the company interest at all time.




• Prepare pre and post budget, progress claims, projected cash flow, tender documentations and final accounts.




• Ensure every progress claim, certifications, invoices to clients are issued on timely basis.




• Any other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.




• Preferably 5 years of relevant working experience in handling of Contractual Terms & Conditions in Construction industry.




• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients.




• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.




• Able to work under pressure with high initiative.
