Job summary

Yes Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to oversee tendering and contract management for construction projects. You will work closely with the QS Manager on cost estimates and take-offs, and coordinate with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure competitive quotations.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying and a minimum of 7 years of experience, with familiarity with local standards and readiness to handle contractual issues,

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in related field.
• Familiar with local standards, project implementations & building codes.
• 6 Day Work Week (ability to work beyond normal hours).

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documentation and negotiate with contractors.
• Assist QS Manager to estimate cost and quantity take-off.
• Source quotations from suppliers and sub-contractors.
• Manage contractual issues including extension of time, loss and expense claims.
• Evaluate and process vendors' claims.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and final accounts.
• Assist Project Manager in pre- and post-contract activities.
• Verify sub-contractor payments and final accounts.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Quantity Surveying or equivalent
