Job summary

TPS Construction Pte Ltd is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage measurements and cost estimates across construction projects from initial calculations to final accounts. You will prepare tender documents, evaluate tenders, and monitor costs and variations to ensure project objectives are met.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Quantity Surveying with 5+ years of relevant experience, plus strong communication and negotiation skills and familiarity with civil and architectural aspects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in quantity surveying.
• Experience in tendering for projects.
• Civil and architectural knowledge preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare measurements and cost estimates from initial calculations to final accounts.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders and negotiate with contractors.
• Prepare cost analysis and monitor overruns to meet project objectives.
• Access payments and variations to facilitate workflow.
• Communicate with client, management, subcontractors and track progression of main and sub-contracts.
• Monitor project progress and valuation of variations for interim payments and final account.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineers to assess impact of changes on budgets and timelines.
• Perform any other adhoc tasks as assigned by Superior.

Job Description

• Manage and prepare the measurements and cost estimates for the construction projects from initial calculations to the final accounts.


• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.


• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors and, where appropriate, negotiate with the contractors.


• Prepare cost analysis and monitor project overruns to ensure the objectives of the project is achieved.


• Access payment and variation works to client and subcontractors to facilitate the smooth workflow process.


• Communicate with the client, management, subcontractors and keep track of the progression of both main contract and sub-contract.


• Monitor and keep track of project progress and are responsible for the measurement and valuation of variations in the work during the contract, for agreement of interim payments and the final account.


• Ensure that projects comply with the contractual terms and conditions.


• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to determine the impact of changes on project budgets and timelines.


• Any other adhoc tasks assigned by Superior.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.


• More than 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.


• Acquired with both civil and architectural knowledge is preferable.


• Good communication and negotiation skills
