Job summary

KTC Civil Engineering & Construction PTE LTD is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post-contract cost/control tasks in Singapore. You will analyse tenders, prepare costing, perform risk assessments and support final accounts to ensure commercial success.

The role requires at least a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying with 5+ years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in quantity surveying or construction cost control.
• Meticulous, detail oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a proactive, forward-thinking mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cost and time matters of projects, ensuring timely, quality results.
• Lead tender analysis, evaluation and costing for bids.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control activities.
• Prepare costing for tender and emphasise measurement, quotations, and tender docs.
• Supervise QS in post-contract duties, ensure timely outputs and contract compliance.
• Support final accounts and commercial settlements, maintain safety standards.

Job description

Responsibility:

Pre Contract Stage

• Responsible for the overall cost and time matters of the project and ensure task are completed in a timely manner and acceptable quality
• Accountable for tender analysis and evaluation
• Accountable to perform risk, value management and cost control
• Prepare and analyse costing for tender
• Preparation of the Tender Bid emphasising on measurement, calling quotations and tender documentation
• Quantity take off and cost comparison for main work trades
• To assist in establishing client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies

Post Contract Stage

• To supervise QS in performing duties in accordance to contract provision and company system
• To ensure QS perform duties within timeline given
• Checking QS work output, eg claim, measurement & payment certification
• Understand contract provision thoroughly and advise the risk/ areas of concern
• Identify, analyze and evaluate problems encountered by QS and propose the effective solution approach
• Assist in final account settlement/ commercial settlement of project account
• Ensure safety practices and housekeeping is to maintained to the highest standard
• To perform Ad-Hoc duties as per assigned
