Senior Quality Engineer - Risk Platform & Automation

Job summary

Airwallex Singapore is hiring its first Quality Engineer for the Risk Platform. You’ll define quality for risk-critical systems, build automation, tooling, and infrastructure to ship changes quickly and safely across onboarding, transaction scoring, and screening.

You’ll partner with Engineering and Product to establish test data, contract testing, and production verification, owning automation and regression coverage for risk decisioning flows while improving regional compliance and release

Qualifications

• Experience as an SDET or Software Engineer in Test with strong programming skills.
• Experience testing large-scale distributed backend systems, including REST APIs.
• Hands-on API and end-to-end automation and CI/CD experience.
• Understanding of reliable testing practices with deterministic data and isolated environments.
• Interest in using AI to accelerate testing and evaluating ML/LLM-based systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in an Agile team.

Responsibilities

• Own the automation and regression coverage for onboarding, scoring, screening, and related systems.
• Build stable test data and isolated environments for deterministic tests.
• Establish contract testing and integration coverage to catch breakages before release.
• Improve jurisdiction-specific behaviour validation of regional rules and regulatory requirements.
• Define release-quality gates and post-release verification that production behaves as expected.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to set acceptance criteria and raise the quality bar across the team.
