Job summary

MTC Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to oversee project costs, budgets and financial reporting for ongoing Singapore-based projects. You will collaborate with consultants, clients, contractors and suppliers to optimize cost decisions and payments.

Applicants should have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 5 years in M&E QS within construction; tendering experience is a plus. Harbourfront location, 5-day workweek, with AL and bonus benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E Quantity Surveying experience within the construction industry.
• Experience handling tendering for large-scale building projects would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project costs and financial matters to ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Work closely with project teams, consultants, clients, contractors, suppliers, and architects to ensure smooth coordination.
• Prepare and evaluate cost comparisons to support procurement and project cost decisions.
• Obtain and review quotations, negotiate pricing, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and measurement of works for cost assessment and valuation.
• Prepare monthly progress claims and variation claims for submission to consultants.
• Review and prepare subcontractor payment certifications, variation claims, and final account settlements.
• Assist in project budget monitoring, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage post-contract administration for main contracts and subcontract agreements.
• Coordinate with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers, and contractors on payment claims and certification matters.
• Identify suitable and cost-effective materials based on project requirements, specifications, and construction stages.
