Job summary

China Harbour (Singapore) Engineering Company Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join its project teams in Singapore. You will handle pre- and post-contract duties including cost planning, tendering, budgeting, and cost reporting, while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires at least 2 years in tendering/costing, strong technical background, and excellent communication skills to work within a multi-disciplinary team on M&E projects.

Qualifications

• Recognized Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical & Electrical Engineering with relevant working experience as M&E QS in M&E projects.
• Preferably for M&E QS with M&E experience
• Possess minimum 2 years of working experience in Project Tendering/Costing experience.
• Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre- and post-contract duties
• Good working knowledge of forms/conditions of contract
• Able to work independently and be a good team player as well.
• Possess excellent people skills with the ability to integrate within a multi-disciplinary team and communicate with external consultants and clients

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation and Budgeting including pre-construction cost planning, detailed measurement and cost control.
• Tendering and Procurement including tender preparation, supplier and subcontractor management, and contract negotiations.
• Contract Management covering variation management, progress payments, and subcontractor coordination.
• Quality Control and Compliance with standards and quality assurance.
• Monitoring and Evaluation with cost reporting and final accounts.
• Collaboration and Coordination across project team and clients, post-construction activities and warranty management.
• Value Engineering with cost optimization.
