Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a proactive purchasing professional to manage end-to-end procurement for production materials, components and equipment.

You will source suppliers, obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and issue purchase orders aligned with production schedules. You will track orders, coordinate with suppliers to resolve delays, optimise stock levels with planning and review stocking parameters.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end purchasing activities for production materials, components and equipment.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations, evaluate pricing and negotiate commercial terms to achieve competitive purchasing costs.
• Review MRP-generated requirements and place purchase orders according to production schedules and material requirements.
• Track open orders and proactively coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery issues and prevent production disruptions.
• Work with production planning and supply chain teams to maintain adequate material availability and optimise inventory levels.
• Review stocking parameters and replenishment requirements in line with management policies.
• Coordinate inbound shipments, logistics arrangements and customs documentation with relevant service providers.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues relating to product quality, delivery delays and non-conforming materials.
• Manage purchasing documentation, vendor registration, purchase order records, delivery notes and invoice submissions.
• Coordinate RMA and supplier return activities to ensure timely resolution.
• Drive purchasing cost-reduction initiatives and identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Prepare weekly and monthly purchasing reports and maintain accurate procurement records.
