Job summary

Wecruit Pte Ltd is seeking a result-oriented Purchasing Specialist in Singapore to manage the full purchasing cycle, source suppliers, and negotiate terms to ensure timely delivery for production needs.

The role involves coordinating with supply chain planning, monitoring inventories, and maintaining accurate purchasing records. You will liaise with logistics for shipments and handle customs documentation while driving cost efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end purchasing including supplier sourcing and RFQs.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and arrange shipments.
• Coordinate delivery follow-ups to meet production schedules.
• Review MRP requirements and purchase materials accordingly.
• Monitor inventory levels and stocking policies.
• Coordinate with supply chain planning and suppliers on availability.
• Liaise with logistics providers to track deliveries.
• Handle customs documentation for shipments.
• Manage supplier performance related to quality and reliability.
• Maintain purchasing records: vendor registrations, POs, DNs, and invoices.
• Coordinate supplier returns and RMA cases.
• Identify cost-reduction initiatives to improve purchasing efficiency and savings.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly purchasing reports.

Job description

• Manage the full purchasing process, including supplier sourcing, requests for quotations (RFQs), price negotiations, shipment arrangements and delivery follow-ups.
• Review Material Requirements Planning (MRP) requirements and purchase materials, components and equipment according to production needs.
• Monitor and expedite outstanding purchase orders to ensure materials are delivered in accordance with production schedules.
• Coordinate with supply chain planning teams and suppliers to maintain material availability and meet delivery requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement stocking policies in accordance with management guidelines.
• Liaise with logistics providers to arrange shipments, track deliveries and coordinate customs declaration documentation.
• Manage supplier performance in terms of product quality, delivery reliability and inventory control.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records, including vendor registration, purchase orders (POs), delivery notes (DNs) and invoice submissions to Finance.
• Coordinate supplier returns, Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) cases and non-conforming materials.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives to improve purchasing efficiency and achieve savings.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly purchasing reports within the required timelines.
