Job summary

Grab is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead CXI as a senior individual contributor, driving AI-enabled engineering transformation and architectural excellence across a broad ecosystem. You will partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and data scientists to steer technical direction and scalable platforms in a high-impact role reporting to the Head of Technology, Integrity & COREX.

The role emphasizes transforming development lifecycles with GenAI, shaping architecture for reliability,

Qualifications

15+ years of software engineering and system design experience.
Hands-on AI-enabled engineering transformation experience, including tooling and guardrails.
Architected and scaled large distributed systems serving millions of users.
Built or led shared platform capabilities across products, business lines, or teams.
Led cross-team architectural initiatives and influenced senior engineers.
Experience using AI tools to enhance productivity and design.

Responsibilities

Transform the Software Development Lifecycle with AI across the CXI org.
Architect systems for massive scale, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Build common platforms to enable multiple Grab products and teams.
Enable autonomous teams while maintaining architectural coherence and guardrails.
Drive technical influence with CXI leadership and cross-functional partners.
