Job summary
Grab is seeking a Head of Engineering for CXI to transform how we engineer with AI, raise the architectural bar for large‑scale distributed systems, and create common platforms enabling teams to move faster with autonomy.
You will partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and data scientists to drive technical direction, ensure architectural coherence, and scale platform capabilities across the Grab ecosystem.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of software engineering and system design experience.
- At least 5 years in a principal engineer or architect role at large-scale tech companies.
- Hands-on experience driving AI-enabled engineering transformation, including coding agents and guardrails.
- Architected and scaled large distributed systems serving millions of users.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve CXI's AI-native engineering architecture and platforms.
- Lead architectural initiatives across Grab's ecosystem to increase velocity and autonomy.
- Partner with senior engineers, product leaders, and data scientists to drive technical direction.
- Establish reference architectures and reusable patterns to empower autonomous teams.
- Represent CXI engineering standards in cross-functional forums.
