Job summary

Nera Telecommunications Ltd is seeking a Senior Presales Consultant to shape customer solutions and help convert opportunities into profitable, deliverable business. You will work closely with customers, Sales, Delivery and technology partners across networking, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, applications and AI.

This hands-on role moves from customer discovery to solution architecture, proposal and commercial shaping, while ensuring Delivery can implement and support what we sell.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise technology, with a background in presales, solution consulting, or solution architecture.
• Experience designing across areas such as networking, infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, applications or AI.
• Strong customer-facing skills: discovery, presentations and explaining technical choices in business terms.
• The ability to develop proposals, architectures, BOMs, sizing, estimates and commercial assumptions.
• Experience working with Sales to qualify and shape opportunities, and with Delivery to validate scope and feasibility.
• Sound judgement on security, delivery, commercial and compliance risks, with practical mitigations.
• Knowledge of relevant architecture and delivery approaches, such as TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile. (an advantage)
• A commitment to ongoing technical development aligned to customer demand and Nera’s partner portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discovery and translate business needs into practical, secure and supportable solution designs.
• Work with Sales on opportunity qualification, customer engagement, win strategy and proposal development.
• Produce solution architectures, technical responses, Bills of Materials, sizing, costings, assumptions and exclusions.
• Engage Delivery early to validate scope, effort, dependencies, feasibility and support requirements before submission.
• Improve bid quality and commercial outcomes through vendor pricing, scope control, solution reuse and clear cost assumptions.
• Build technical relationships with vendor and partner teams to develop solutions and generate qualified opportunities.
• Develop reusable offers and assets and pursue relevant technical training and certifications.
