Job summary

Yokogawa seeks a solutions engineer in APAC to identify value opportunities using Petro-SIM and reactor models. You will work with BD, services and software support to drive software-driven solutions for semiconductor, chemicals and energy clients.

You will demonstrate products, tailor demonstrations to client KPIs and participate in pilots to ensure technical success and customer satisfaction, contributing to growth of Yokogawa’s software business in the APAC region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or related field required.
• Significant experience in engineering and technical sales support is preferred.
• Knowledge of refinery/petrochemicals processes and process simulation software expected.
• Willingness to travel up to 25–40% to customer sites, conferences and trade shows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical expert during the sales cycle, articulating value of our simulation and data analytics platform.
• Understand client operations, KPIs, and translate them into software-based solutions.
• Prepare and deliver customized product demonstrations, presentations, and proofs of concept.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to align customer requirements with product capabilities.
• Build and present use cases using first-principles modelling.
• Respond to RFPs and technical questionnaires with accurate content.
• Engage with prospects during pilots/trials, ensuring technical success and satisfaction.
