Job summary

Lumilens is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to own manufacturing processes for our optical transceiver product roadmap, including 800G and 1.6T modules. This role covers die attach, wire bond, active alignment, and general assembly from initial definition through high-volume production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in high-volume optical transceiver and/or laser manufacturing.
• Expertise in die attach, wire bond, active optical alignment and general assembly.
• Strong data analysis, SPC, and quality-systems knowhow.
• Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, prove out, and deploy manufacturing processes across transceiver assembly to hit yield, throughput, and quality goals.
• Own process documentation and approve changes on the production line.
• Maintain end-to-end manufacturing ownership and change control per QMS.
• Lead or support equipment selection and new equipment introduction.
• Collaborate with design engineering and CM teams to ensure DFM.
• Coordinate qualification, reliability, and burn-in testing for new products.
