Job summary

Lumilens is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to own manufacturing processes for optical transceiver programs, including 800G and 1.6T modules. You will oversee die attach, wire bonding, alignment, and assembly, coordinating with contract manufacturers and suppliers to drive yield and continuous improvement.

You will lead documentation, process changes, and DFM alignment while sustaining a high-volume manufacturing environment for AI data-center applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in high-volume optical transceiver and/or laser manufacturing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with optical transceiver assembly processes such as die attach, wire bond, active alignment.
• Knowledge of SPC and data analysis.
• Knowledge of quality systems and standards.
• Ability to work in geographically diverse cross-functional teams.
• Proficient English communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, prove out, and deploy manufacturing processes for new products across the transceiver assembly flow, improving yield and quality targets.
• Own process documentation and review/approve changes on the production line.
• Maintain end-to-end manufacturing ownership and change control per QMS.
• Lead or support equipment selection and new equipment introduction through release to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with design engineering and contract manufacturers to meet DFM guidelines.
• Coordinate qualification, reliability, and burn-in testing for new products and processes.
• Analyze process and yield data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare process reports and summarize trends.
• Automate manufacturing processes to support scale-up.
