Job summary

The Council for World Mission (CWM) seeks a Mission Secretary for Peace and Development to guide member churches in peace pedagogy, advocacy, and conflict resolution. The successful candidate will relocate to CWM's headquarters in Singapore for a four-year contract and work with member churches, ecumenical partners, and peoples’ movements to promote life-flourishing communities.

Qualifications

• Over five years of experience in faith-based organizations and peace/development work.
• Postgraduate degree in a relevant area; PhD is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, budget, coordinate, implement, and evaluate peace and development programmes across member churches.
• Engage member churches to develop medium and long-term peace programmes.
• Collaborate with ecumenical partners to promote life-flourishing growth through community development.
