Kim Yew Integrated Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer to ensure smooth operations of building facilities and infrastructure. You will lead a team, supervise maintenance, and drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability across mechanical systems and services.
The role requires a diploma/degree in mechanical engineering with 3+ years in facilities management, strong technical knowledge of FM and HVAC, and good problem-solving skills.
About the role
This is a full-time Senior Mechanical Facilities Engineer role based in Singapore for a leading facilities management company. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the building facilities and infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
Plan, execute and supervise all Mechanical and Building related facilities maintenance work service. Lead a team of technical officers and technicians for the facilities management activities. Advise and lead the technical investigations for rectification works with the manager.
Investigate, analyse and determine root cause and report any M&E breakdown and fault effectively.
Together with the Facilities Manager to manage Mechanical works and services for effective and efficient facilities performance.
Coordinate and supervise the M&E installation and maintenance work.Planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance works.( Pump systems , HVAC, Mechanical systems , Fire protection systems etc.)
Manage, maintain, and improve building's mechanical systems, focusing on efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Carrying out regular inspection and provide recommendation for improvement or rectification work if needed.Conducting regular inspection to ensure all maintenance programme are implemented effectively in strict compliance with instructions and guidelines. Comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Perform troubleshooting and analyse faults and provide recommendation for effective solutions.
Working closely with the client, sub-contractors, and the project team to resolve any technical issues. Attend M&E related meetings and involve in the preparation of related reports.
Monitor work progress, drawings and other relevant documents related to M&E works. Involve in quotation and fault reports.
Assist in planning, controlling, and coordinating of mechanical and building works. Schedule, monitor and supervise the progress of works. Prepare and following up closely on the enquiries and quotations.
Overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of mechanical and building systems across the company's facilities. Providing technical support and guidance to the facilities management team.
Job Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Construction Management or Facilities Management ).
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the facilities management or building services industry
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Facilities Management , Mechanical, HVAC systems or building maintenance.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently
5.5 days work week , North East location
