Job summary

National University Hospital is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for the Service Academy to drive strategic priorities, oversee training, service coaching and recognition, and coordinate governance, reporting and administrative operations. You will partner with HR, L&D and department leaders to embed Incredible Care into everyday practice.

The role focuses on translating strategies into actionable plans, leading cross-functional initiatives and maintaining a service-oriented culture across NUH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development or related field.
• ACTA and/or DDLP certification would be an advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience in managing a learning & development department.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders across levels.
• Passion for service excellence and recognition.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head, Service Academy in translating departmental strategies into actionable workplans and deliverables.
• Provide day-to-day operational leadership to progress priorities and service excellence initiatives.
• Coordinate training, service coaching, recognitions, e-learning, events, procurement and admin across the team.
• Foster collaboration and accountability, ensuring cross-coverage and continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with clinical, operational, administrative and corporate stakeholders to support interventions.
• Partner with HR, L&D, Nursing and other support functions to align initiatives with organisational priorities.
