Job summary

Ngee Ann Polytechnic is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Assistance & Scholarships in the Student & Alumni Services Office for a 2-year contract. You will lead the administration of financial assistance schemes and scholarships, ensuring compliance and effective governance.

You will supervise budgeting, stakeholder coordination, and policy reviews to support student access and success. You will drive digitalisation and process improvements while building a high-performing team and delivering

Qualifications

• Relevant academic qualification with extensive experience in student services and financial assistance.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
• Experience in stakeholder relationship management and engagement with diverse partners.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision making.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Experience in governance, budgeting, risk management and operational planning.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders while balancing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, planning, administration, review and enhancement of financial assistance schemes (bursaries, grants, emergency assistance, donor-funded awards).
• Oversee end-to-end administration of scholarship programmes including outreach, application, selection, and award management.
• Review policies, frameworks and processes to ensure governance, compliance and sustainability.
• Drive initiatives to improve student access, retention, progression and success through targeted financial support.
• Analyse student needs, funding trends and programme outcomes to inform planning and policy development.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team; manage budgeting, governance, risk and operational performance.
• Establish KPIs and leverage data analytics to monitor impact and identify gaps for programme enhancements.
• Drive digitalisation, streamline workflows and improve processes for better student experience.
