Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking an experienced Procurement Project Lead to drive procurement and supply chain activities across key programmes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks to ensure successful execution from development through production.

The role requires strong procurement, project management, stakeholder engagement, and commercial acumen to support growth and delivery objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering or related.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or programme management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for assigned projects and programmes.
• Develop and execute project procurement plans to support programme schedules and deliverables.
• Act as the primary procurement interface between project teams and suppliers.
• Drive procurement readiness to support project milestones and production requirements.
• Develop sourcing strategies to achieve cost, quality, delivery and risk objectives.
• Lead supplier selection, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Programme Management, Operations, Quality and Finance.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and supplier escalations.
• Drive cost optimization, value engineering and productivity initiatives.
• Support budget planning and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Programme Management, Operations, Quality, and Finance teams.
• Support project teams in resolving procurement and supply chain issues.
• Provide procurement recommendations to support business and programme decisions.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that may impact project delivery.
• Manage critical procurement issues and supplier escalations.
• Drive cost optimization, value engineering, and productivity initiatives.
• Support budget planning and cost management activities.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and governance requirements.
• Maintain proper sourcing documentation and contract records.
• Support internal and external audits when required.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or programme management.
• Proven experience managing procurement activities in complex engineering, manufacturing, defence, transportation, or technology environments.
• Strong track record in supplier management, contract negotiation, and project execution.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple stakeholders.
