Job Description: Manager/ Senior Manager - Information Technology

Our client is one of the largest Town Councils in Singapore. They are now seeking an experienced IT professional to take on the role of Manager/ Senior Manager – Information Technology as they continue to grow and improve their service delivery to their town residents.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of the Town Council, the incoming Manager/ Senior Manager will work with outsourced partners and lead an IT Executive, while being responsible for the full spectrum of IT matters across multiple offices across the Town boundaries.

This includes driving IT policies, overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's IT systems and infrastructure while ensuring its security and overall reliability. The role also involves managing IT projects, budgeting, and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the organisational goals, ensuring efficient and effective use of technology.

2) Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and data centers.

3) IT Operations: Manage daily IT operations, including system administration, network management, and user support.

4) Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

5) Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust IT security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

6) Budget Management: Manage the IT budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.

7) Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery.

8) Team Management: Supervise and mentor IT staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.

9) Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 8 - 10 years proven experience in IT management, with a minimum of 1-3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and security.
