Job summary

SPD in Singapore is seeking a Senior Manager/Asst Director, Children Services to work with the Head of Division to drive service development and oversee divisional operations.

You will lead planning, budgeting, workforce development, policy implementation, and liaison with stakeholders, ensuring compliance and effective service delivery. The ideal candidate has a university degree in health/social sciences and 7–10 years in management with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• A University degree in health and social sciences, allied health or early childhood intervention.
• At least 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience in a management position.
• Self-motivated, independent, and with the energy, passion and persistence to serve the disadvantaged.
• Ability to think strategically and motivate others.
• Ability to connect within and beyond organisational boundaries to mobilise community resources.
• Excellent management and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team.
• Strong interpersonal and people skills, as well as good communication and writing skills.
• Prior experience in the public sector or social service sector would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Division Head in developing and implementing short- and long-term plans, initiatives and practices for quality Early Intervention services at SPD.
• Support the Division Head in aligning division goals and service delivery with organisational strategy, including manpower planning, budgeting and monitoring.
• Drive professional development and career progression for staff and the trans-disciplinary team.
• Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures for programmes.
• Serve as the primary administrative contact and liaison with stakeholders and external organisations; coordinate timely submission of statistics to funding bodies and partners.
• Guide and support managers in effectively managing feedback and queries from clients, caregivers, the public, and authorities.
• Maintain compliance with regulations, service standards, and funding agreements; ensure audit readiness.
• Build and maintain networks with hospitals, government agencies, educational institutions, community partners and funding bodies.
