Job summary

Singapore General Hospital Pte Ltd. seeks a Senior Manager/Manager to support the Unit Head, Admitting Services, in operational management of frontline services and roving teams covering inpatient wards and a coordination centre.

Qualifications

• Degree with at least 4 years of experience in a middle management position, preferably in healthcare/hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end admission, financial counselling and patient access operations across emergency, urgent, elective and same-day admission services.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication, documentation and follow-up of admission, financial and administrative requirements.
• Establish and monitor service standards, operational controls and business continuity arrangements.
• Maintain appropriate financial, documentation and records management controls in compliance with governance and regulations.
• Plan and manage staffing, roster coverage and workload allocation.
• Recruit, develop and retain a competent workforce and plan succession and leadership development.
• Monitor performance indicators, identify risks and opportunities, and provide insights to management.
• Lead continuous improvement and transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and patient experience.
• Represent Admitting Services in hospital-wide initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders on priorities.
• Plan, implement and evaluate projects to achieve objectives; coach staff in project management and change.
• Perform secretariat duties for committees and ensure emergency readiness and incident coordination.
