Job summary

SHINRYO CORPORATION is seeking a reliable Senior IT Engineer to support daily IT operations in Singapore. You will provide technical support to users, maintain IT equipment, assist with networking and firewall administration, manage Active Directory tasks, and coordinate with external IT vendors.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, willingness to learn, and effective communication with colleagues at all levels.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Experience in IT support, helpdesk or desktop support is advantageous.
• Basic AD, networking, firewalls and Windows environments experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and general IT issues.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other office IT equipment.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting including LAN, Wi-Fi, IP addressing, connectivity, switches.
• Assist with Sophos Firewall administration and troubleshooting.
• Manage Basic Active Directory functions: user accounts, passwords, access, domain membership, Group Policy basics.
• Install and maintain printers and network printers; coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment purchases.
• Maintain IT inventory records and assist with onboarding/offboarding from an IT perspective.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff or external vendors; maintain IT documentation.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hands‑on Senior IT Engineer to support the company’s day‑to‑day IT operations. The role will be responsible for providing technical support to users, maintaining IT equipment and systems, assisting with networking and firewall administration, managing Active Directory‑related tasks, supporting printers and other office IT equipment, and coordinating with external IT vendors when required.

The ideal candidate should have good troubleshooting skills, be willing to learn, and comfortable communicating with both.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, and general IT‑related issues.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other office IT equipment.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting including LAN, Wi‑Fi, IP addressing, connectivity, switches, and related network issues.
• Assist with the administration and troubleshooting of Sophos Firewall.

• Manage Basic Active Directory Functions including:

• Creating and disabling user accounts
• Password resets
• Managing user access and permissions
• Adding users or computers to the domain
• Managing basic Group Policy‑related requirements

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain office printers and network printers.
• Coordinate and liaise with external vendors for IT equipment purchases.
• Hardware replacement and repairs.
• Warranty and support cases.
• Quotations and procurement.
• Installation and maintenance services.
• Assist with the setup and deployment of new computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Maintain basic IT hardware and software inventory records.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees from an IT perspective.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or external vendors where necessary.
• Maintain basic documentation of IT systems, configurations, equipment, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Ensure IT equipment and systems are kept operational and properly maintained.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, Wi‑Fi, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Sophos Firewall administration and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Active Directory.
• Windows desktop and laptop troubleshooting.
• Hardware troubleshooting and basic PC maintenance.
• Printer installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications.
• User account and access management.
• Basic IT security practices.
• IT equipment setup and deployment.
• Vendor coordination and IT procurement.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Previous experience in IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, or an IT infrastructure environment would be an advantage.
• Basic experience with Active Directory, networking, firewalls, and Windows environments.
• Experience with Sophos products would be an advantage.
• Relevant IT certifications would be beneficial but are not mandatory.
