• Conduct regular Disaster Recovery tests and data restoration checks.
• Monitor storage usage, perform capacity planning and provide metrics to management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope

• Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms:
• MS Active Directory
• Exchange
• Oracle
• SQL Server
• Windows
• VMware
• UNIX servers

Python / PowerShell ing Language

• Manage and support Storage systems, including:
• Vulnerability remediation
• Capacity management
• Configuration management
• Provisioning and zoning of new servers using SAN switches
• Analyze backup software performance to meet client needs
• Monitor scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures
• Provide backup system data statistics to management
• Perform regular Disaster Recovery (DR) test plans for backup data restoration and storage replication availability
• Monitor storage usage and performance, and perform capacity planning for storage growth
• Manage storage and backup changes through the change request process and provide status reports to relevant parties
• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolutions
• Provide timely status updates to relevant parties regarding incidents
• Monitor agreed service levels and document/maintain system configurations
• Provide regular reporting to relevant parties
• Ensure service levels meet requirements and propose/implement action plans as needed
• Expected to work during off-peak hours (e.g., patching, upgrades)
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
• Operate effectively within set guidelines, policies, and procedures, executing instructions with minimal supervision
• Provide 24x7 operations support

Who We Are Looking For

• Degree/Diploma in Computer Information Systems or related field
• Preferred knowledge in:
• EMC Networker
• EMC Data Domain
• VEEAM
• Proficient in storage and backup technologies
• Python / PowerShell ing Language is a must
• 3 - 5 years of relevant working experience (preferably in Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery)
• Working knowledge of Veritas NetBackup, EMC ISILON, EMC VMAX, EMC POWERMAX (preferred but not mandatory)
• Understanding of orchestration and automation methodologies in service provider environments
