Job summary

PCSS in Singapore is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to install, configure, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage, and backup systems. You will support daily operations, monitor health, and perform routine troubleshooting.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams and vendors, documenting diagrams and SOPs, participating in testing (SAT/UAT), and contributing to security and change-management processes, including standby support.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, computer engineering, network engineering, or related fields.
• Engineer experience: 1–3 years for Engineer, 3–5 years for Senior Engineer.
• Good knowledge of servers, OS concepts, storage, backup and virtualization.
• Familiarity with security policies and change management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in install, configure, and maintain servers, virtualization platforms, storage systems, backup solutions, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support daily infrastructure operations, monitoring, and health checks.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for server, virtualization, OS, storage, and backup issues.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers or vendors.
• Assist in infrastructure deployment, migration, and upgrade activities.
• Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents promptly.
• Maintain documentation including diagrams, configurations, SOPs, asset inventory, and procedures.
• Work with internal teams, vendors, and customers during troubleshooting and implementation activities.
• Support system testing activities such as SAT, UAT, backup recovery testing, and failover testing.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and change management processes.
• Participate in standby support rotation and after-office-hours support when required.
• Support automation and continuous improvement of infrastructure operations and monitoring.
