Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support enterprise backup environments using Veritas NetBackup (Master/Media Servers).
• Manage backup appliances, storage systems, and backup repositories.
• Configure and maintain Data Domain systems and deduplication technologies.
• Operate and support tape backup infrastructure and libraries.
• Manage cloud-based backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Azure Recovery Services Vault).
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across backup, storage, SAN, and tape environments.
• Support SAN infrastructure and address connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to resolve incidents and implement solutions.
• Follow ITSM/ITIL processes including incident, change, and problem management.
• Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements.
• Provide on-call support and handle escalations when required.
