Job summary

VT RECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced HR professional in Singapore to manage end-to-end payroll, maintain HR records, and oversee recruitment and employee relations. The role focuses on compliance with the Singapore Employment Act, payroll systems, and administrative efficiency.

The candidate will handle onboarding, work pass coordination, policy updates, and management reporting, contributing to workforce planning and staff development in a dynamic sector.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 4 years of relevant HR experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage full-spectrum payroll from day one.
• Good knowledge of Singapore Employment Act and statutory HR compliance requirements.
• Experience using HRIS and payroll systems; Infotech Payroll System experience is an advantage.
• Experience in the marine, engineering or related industries is advantageous.
• Prior HR supervisory or team management experience is preferred.
• Good communication skills for HR documentation, employee communication and management reporting.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage confidential HR matters professionally.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including salaries, overtime where applicable, allowances, CPF contributions, statutory deductions, tax reporting and employee benefits.
• Maintain accurate employee records using HRIS and payroll systems.
• Handle full-cycle recruitment, candidate selection, onboarding and offboarding.
• Coordinate work pass applications and employee-related administrative matters where applicable.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and performance-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Employment Act and relevant employment regulations.
• Review, develop and update HR policies, employee handbooks, standard operating procedures and employment contracts.
• Support workforce planning, employee performance appraisals, training, engagement and retention initiatives; provide HR advice to management and undertake Acting HR Manager responsibilities when required.
