AIA Hong Kong and Macau is seeking an experienced Underwriter to assess high-value cases and support daily operations in Singapore. The role requires authoritative underwriting judgment, collaboration with intermediaries, and proactive risk assessment.

You will underwrite large sum assured applications, negotiate terms with reinsurers, and ensure timely decisions while coaching junior underwriters and improving processes within the New Business team.

Formación

• Bachelor degree or higher.
• 10+ years of underwriting experience in both direct and reinsurer environments.
• Experience with High-Net-Worth (HNW) products desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Underwrite large sum assured applications and communicate decisions to intermediaries within the agreed TAT.
• Negotiate with reinsurers for favorable terms when placing the business.
• Ensure cases are underwritten within the agreed turnaround time.
• Review complex appeal cases and coach underwriters for large sum assured situations.
• Coordinate with reinsurers on referral cases beyond local authority.
• Resolve enquiries and issues with channel management and handle own case appeals, postponements, and declines with rationale.
