Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Senior Sales Engineer – Grid Automation & Communications to drive sales growth for the Grid Automation business in Singapore. You will promote and sell Automation and Communication solutions, building long-term customer relationships and supporting customers across the full sales lifecycle.

Collaborate with account teams, distributors, and regional management, while upholding Hitachi Energy's HSE standards and promoting a Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of sales experience in electrical utilities, power transmission/distribution or generation.
• Experience selling Substation Automation and Communication solutions is a plus.
• Strong sales, customer engagement and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in English and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support and grow sales in Grid Automation (Substation Protection & Control) and Communications in Singapore.
• Manage full sales cycle from promotion to contract negotiations.
• Create value through successful proposals and commercial terms.
• Develop and execute sales plans using company tools.
• Maintain CRM records and customer relationships across functions and regions.
• Lead customer discussions and negotiate contracts with stakeholders.
• Ensure offerings align with market conditions and customer requirements.
• Support bid/no-bid decisions and risk reviews.
