Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Senior Sales Engineer in Singapore to drive growth for Grid Automation and Communications solutions. You will promote offerings, manage the full sales lifecycle, and build strong relationships with utilities and industrial customers.

Responsibilities include leading negotiations, developing sales plans, coordinating with partners and internal teams, and ensuring competitive, compliant solutions. Fluency in English and strong stakeholder engagement are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's/Diploma/Trade qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 8 years of sales experience in electrical utilities, power transmission, distribution or generation.
Experience selling Substation Automation and Communication solutions is a plus.
Strong ability to assess customer requirements and propose technical solutions.
Excellent written and spoken English; ability to engage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Promote and sell Automation and Communication solutions for Grid Automation in Singapore.
Manage full sales cycle including promotions, homologation, channel partner development, and direct sales to utilities and industries.
Create value through compelling proposals, contracts, and negotiations.
Develop and execute sales plans using company tools and processes.
Identify opportunities and maintain CRM records.
Maintain direct relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Lead discussions and contract negotiations with customers.
Ensure competitive offerings aligned with market and customer needs.
Support bid/no-bid decisions and risk reviews.
Collaborate with account management, bid/proposal teams, and regional management.
HSE compliance and Zero Harm culture adherence.
