Job summary

ICE Clear Europe Limited seeks a data engineer to join the fixed income reference data team in Singapore. You will progress through a three‑month onboarding, moving from supervised document parsing to independent ownership of securities with standard structures.

The role emphasizes building data pipelines, validating data quality, and partnering with Pricing, Analytics and Operations to support client outcomes. Strong Python/SQL skills and Mandarin proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL or similar tools for data manipulation and automation.
• Familiarity with AI tools to support data processing, analysis and automation.
• Proven ability to extract meaningful insights from dense legal and financial documents.
• Strong written communication skills for client or stakeholder facing documentation.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin for occasional stakeholder communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Transformation from legal documents and vendor feeds into normalized reference data fields.
• Data Quality & Governance with multi‑layer validation checks to meet SLA accuracy and timeliness.
• Support to clients and internal stakeholders, clarifying reference data requirements and surfacing data gaps.
• Research and procurement of authoritative documentation from issuers, underwriters, and trustees.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose automation or process redesign with quantified impact.
