Job summary

ICE Data Services in Singapore seeks a data engineer who will join a three-month onboarding program, advancing from supervised parsing to independent ownership of securities data. You will handle structured and unstructured sources, ensure data quality, and collaborate with internal teams to meet client needs.

The role requires a strong foundation in finance or quantitative fields, programming in Python/SQL, and excellent communication in English and Mandarin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, CS, mathematics or related quantitative discipline.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Working knowledge of Python, SQL, or similar data manipulation tools.
• Familiarity with AI tools to support data processing and automation.
• Proven ability to extract insights from dense legal and financial documents.
• Strong written communication skills for client/stakeholder documentation.
• Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin due to stakeholder interactions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Transformation: parse and transform data from legal and vendor sources into normalized reference data fields.
• Data Quality & Governance: perform multi-layer validation checks and investigate data anomalies.
• Client & Stakeholder Support: respond to inquiries with structured, well-reasoned responses and surface data gaps.
• Research & Document Procurement: source authoritative documentation from issuers and trustees; maintain audit trails.
• Process Improvement & Analytics: identify workflow inefficiencies and propose automation opportunities; build data extraction tools.
