Maya Strategic Management Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Finance Leader to own the finance function for our U.S. food import affiliates. You’ll run the full function, lead the team, and sit close enough to decisions to understand why they’re made.

You'llown the finance function for our U.S. food import affiliates.You'llrun the full function, lead the team doing it, and sit close enough to the decisions to understand whythey'remade.
Keep the finance function running end to end, so the business always has clean, current numbers to work from.
Lead the finance team and own the full cycle — accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations,payrolland month-end close
Own the daily transactional work, including customer invoicing and credit, account reconciliations, and inventory accounting
Give management a reliable, real-time read on how the business isactually performingagainst plan.
Build the budget and forecasts, set the policies and controls that manage risk, and recommend the benchmarks and system improvements worth making
Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements, andmonitorspending against budget — flagging variances early rather than at close
Support external audits, taxfilingsand compliance requests
Make sure pricing, contracts and account decisions are backed by real numbers, not guesswork.
Partner with sales on account-level profitability and pricing, and build variance analysis that goes beyond the company-wide view
Analyse margin and profitability by customer and account, and build account-level P&L reviews
Pull whatever data management needs for a sharper answer
Hire and develop people who can do the work properly, not just clear it. Someone on your team should be able to run the close ifyou'reonleave, andknow why a number matters rather than only where it goes.
Push for the changes worth making. Anyone can flagwhat'sbroken.We'reafter the person who comes back with what to do about it, what it costs, and what it fixes.
Decide whatactually mattersthis month and tell your team. If everything is urgent, nothing is.
Own the result. Problems are cheaper the earlier you find them, so go looking rather than waiting for them to surface at close.
Talk straight with management,salesand the auditors. Plain English, no jargon where itisn'tneeded.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a solid grasp of accounting principles. ACCA or CPA certification preferred.
Three to five years of relevant controller or finance management experience. Supply chain industry experience is a plus.
Advanced QuickBooks skills, plus strong Excel (advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables), Adobe Acrobat and Google Drive.
ERP system experience, including system conversions, is a strong plus. Comfortable picking up new software quickly.
Strong problem-solving skills, and equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the organisational skills to run multiple deadlines at once without being chased.
