Job summary

Twin Disc (FAR EAST) PTE. LTD. seeks a Finance Manager to establish and maintain compliant accounting systems for US and foreign requirements.

You will lead the annual plan, LRP, capital plan and operational forecasts, and direct a finance team across local and USA audits. The role requires extensive experience in financial controls, manufacturing context, and proficiency in US GAAP and SOX. Strong leadership, analytical thinking and bilingual communication are essential to support management

Qualifications

• Eight+ years in progressively responsible financial control roles, including exposure to listed US companies.
• Bachelor degree required; CPA/CA preferred.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and international accounting standards.
• Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Bi-lingual English and Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management analyses.
• Oversee risk management, insurance and currency exposures.
• Analyze results and provide strategic guidance to management.
• Provide pricing support and margin analysis for decisions.
• Support Asia development initiatives with financial insights.
• Manage finance team, including training and performance review.
• Coordinate local and USA audit requirements.

Job description

The Finance Manager will be responsible to establish and maintain accounting systems which comply with both the US and foreign accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements and management reporting requirements. The individual will direct, analyze and review the preparation of the annual business plan, LRP, capital plan and operational forecasts

Job Functions:

• 1) Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, as well as various analytical reports requested by management
• 2) Responsible for risk management, insurance and currency
• 3) Analyze financial results and provide guidance to management as appropriate
• 4) Provide management with pricing support, performing various margin analyses
• 5) Provide financial analysis support for Asia development initiatives
• 6) Manage finance team, to include responsibility for their training and development, motivation and performance management
• 7) Responsible for local and USA audit requirements

Job Requirements:

• 1) Education equivalent to Bachelor Degree
• 2) Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant or equivalent preferable but not mandatory
• 3) Eight (8) or more years experience in progressively responsible financial control positions, some of which in a listed USA company
• 4) Work experience in sales distribution and manufacturing environments
• 5) Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX controls and international accounting standards and principles
• 6) Knowledge and experience with cost accountng in a manufacturing environment
• 7) Computer literate in the Microsoft suite of products - Words, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint and Outlook
• 8) Experience with JDE and Onestream an advantage
• 9) Excellent verbal and written skills
• 10) Ability to make presentations
• 11) At least bi-lingual - English and Mandarin fluency
