Trinity Methodist Church (TRAC) invites a Senior/Finance Executive to oversee accounting, finance, and treasury operations in collaboration with the Finance Committee.
You will manage the full set of accounts, coordinate with auditors, and support budgeting, financial reporting, IRAS submissions, and strategic initiatives to strengthen accountability and financial stewardship.
We are hiring a Senior / Finance Executive to join Trinity Methodist Church (TRAC). In this role, you will work with the Finance Committee to assume responsibility for the Church’s accounting, finance, and treasury operations.
You will support the management of the full set of accounts and work closely with the Local Church’s Executive and Finance Committees to implement strategies and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of Church Finance and Accounting functions and make a meaningful impact by supporting the Church’s growth and helping to strengthen efficiency, accountability and financial stewardship.
Maintain and prepare the complete set of accounts, including posting journal entries, processing payment vouchers, performing bank reconciliations, managing Fixed Assets register, preparing month-end closing and financial reports
Coordinate with auditors for annual and other audits.
Manage the Church’s treasury functions, including deposits.
Administer the annual finance and budgeting process
Be the primary contact to the Local Church Executive Committee and Finance Committee for finance-related matters. Handle financial queries, support church events, and provide occasional administrative support as needed.
Prepare IR8A, statistics for TRAC and information required by IRAS.
Able to work independently and with a team, with a strong sense of accountability
Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is advantageous
Adaptable and able to anticipate changes and drive improvements
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiar with Accounting Software such as QuickBooks, Xero
Degree / Diploma in Finance and/or Accountancy or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
Experience in church and charity finance or accounting role would be beneficial
The successful candidate will work weekdays (9am to 6pm), with a planned weekend duty approximately (but not more than) once a month (Saturdays and Sunday, 9am to 12noon) as part of a roster with other administrative staff.One full day off in lieu will be provided for duties performed on Sundays to ensure a balanced workload.
