Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a Senior Executive/Deputy Manager in the Student Development (SDV) department to plan, facilitate and execute student engagement and development programmes, including overseas learning experiences, to nurture holistic growth.

Role involves coordinating with stakeholders, managing logistics, budgeting, procurement and trip leadership for overseas trips, with a focus on process improvements and digitalisation.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in student development, youth engagement or programme/event management.
• Job requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging and developing youth.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills with ability to work across departments and with external partners and vendors.
• High attention to detail with budgeting and projections.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute student engagement activities, workshops, and community-based programmes that integrate learning experiences to holistically develop students.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful programmes and opportunities for students.
• Ensure smooth operations by handling logistics, communications, and stakeholder coordination for events and activities.
• Manage procurement, grants reporting and budgeting for programmes and activities.
• Drive systems and process improvements, including designing and automating processes to support digitalisation needs.
• Serve as trip leader for overseas exposure trips, accompanying and supervising students overseas, and overseeing trip planning and coordination with stakeholders and vendors.
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to organise Overseas Exposure Programmes, obtaining quotations for airfares, accommodation and ground transport in compliance with procurement policies.
• Manage trip costings and related financial processes, including student subsidies computation, PSEA deductions, student co-payments, overseas daily allowance computation and claims, as well as Statements of Account and post-programme reporting.
