Job summary

Ministry of Defence of Singapore is seeking a stock inventory manager responsible for end-to-end control of all stores at the Logistics Support Centre. You will track movement across the Digital and Intelligence Service (DIS) and ensure accurate system-based accounting across storage locations.

Key duties include monitoring stock levels, maintaining inventory records, coordinating replenishments, and overviews of stock takes.

Qualifications

• Education in Logistics/SCM preferred.
• Min 5 years in inventory management or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee scheduled stock takes.
• Provide regular performance reports on inventory accuracy, stock turnover, system uptime and compliance with stock takes.

What You Will Be Working On

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities


• Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records within information systems


• Monitor real-time inventory levels, asset locations, and movement across various locations


• Implement data validation checks to detect and rectify discrepancies, ensuring system data accurately reflects physical stock at all times


• Coordinate and oversee the execution of scheduled stock take programmes


• Provide regular performance reports on inventory accuracy, stock turnover, system uptime, and compliance with stock take schedules

• Maintaining accurate inventory accounting across distributed locations and ensuring constant reconciliation between physical stock and system records


• Managing high volumes of inventory transactions and detecting errors amid large volumes of transactions


• Resolving discrepancies in a timely manner, often involving coordination with multiple stakeholders
  

What We Are Looking For

• Education in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field is preferred


• At least 5 years of relevant experience in inventory management, logistics or related areas


• Technical knowledge of enterprise Logistics IT systems


• Organised and meticulous


• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively under time and resource constraints
