Job summary

Smart IMS Inc. in Singapore seeks an experienced Business Analyst with strong Front Office Equities domain expertise to join the APAC team.

The role blends business analysis with small-to-mid project management, driving change across the Equities unit, and collaborating with Front Office users, Technology, Operations, and regional stakeholders across Singapore and Japan. The candidate will translate business needs into BRDs and user stories, lead workshops, and support SIT/UAT, ensuring delivery

Qualifications

8–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets.
Strong experience in Equities Front Office (Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Electronic Trading, Program Trading, or Prime Brokerage).
Proven ability to work directly with Front Office traders, sales teams, and business stakeholders.
Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, functional analysis, process modelling, and testing.
Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall environments and strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Partner with Equities Front Office stakeholders to translate needs into detailed functional requirements.
Conduct workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
Produce BRDs, functional specs, user stories, and process flows.
Collaborate with Technology teams throughout the SDLC for accurate design and delivery.
Coordinate SIT, UAT, and production implementation activities.
Manage requirement traceability and ensure business objectives are met.
Drive process improvements and automation opportunities.
